COMMUNIQUÉ 002 — THE MESSAGE
From the Secretary-General’s Desk,
Preparing with my grandfather for my first Model UN in sixth grade, I was so excited that my words couldn’t keep up with my thoughts. It was the first time I had a platform to truly explore my curiosity, to discover ideas I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise, to meet people from different backgrounds, and most importantly, to question others while learning to question myself.
Over six years later, I’ve come to believe that this freedom doesn’t disappear, it evolves with us, shaped by how willing we are to question and engage with the world around us. Even in a time where information is controlled, narratives are shaped, and stereotypes influence what we see, there is still space for honest conversation and curiosity. Delhi MUN was created with that hope in mind: to provide a platform where conversations don’t end with the committee, but push you to keep questioning long after.
“As delegates, you are not only representing the government of a country, you are representing its people, its culture, and its national values.”
With that comes the responsibility to truly understand the perspectives you present, something global leaders today often fall short of. Do better. Debate with insight, and above all, remain open to learning and unlearning.
With an insightful Executive Board panel and incredibly detailed delegate guides, we hope that whether this is your first conference or your fiftieth, you leave with more than certificates, with answers, and even more to think about.
The true impact of Delhi MUN lies in its people, those currently working tirelessly to build it, and those who will bring it to life this August. With that, welcome to Delhi MUN: a conference built for your curiosity, your ideas, and everything you are yet to discover.
