OFFICIAL REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

Delhi MUN operates on a strict financial planning model. Because logistics, venues, and materials are procured well in advance based on registration numbers, all financial transactions are final and serve as a genuine pre-estimate of damages incurred upon cancellation.

1. Strict No-Refund Policy

• General Rule: All registration fees, accommodation charges, social event passes, and delegation fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Liquidated Damages: In accordance with the Indian Contract Act, 1872, any cancellation, withdrawal, or no-show by a Delegate—regardless of personal emergencies, medical issues, or scheduling conflicts—will result in the total forfeiture of the fees paid, which shall be retained by Delhi MUN as reasonable liquidated damages to cover administrative and logistical sunk costs.

• Disciplinary Expulsion: Delegates expelled for violating the Terms and Conditions forfeit their entire registration fee instantly.

2. Event Postponement or Format Change

• If Delhi MUN is postponed, relocated, or shifted to a virtual/online format due to Force Majeure, administrative necessity, or government directives, no refunds will be granted. The Delegate's registration and fees will automatically be carried forward to the rescheduled dates or the virtual edition.

3. Event Cancellation

• In the highly unlikely event that Delhi MUN is permanently canceled without being rescheduled or moved online, the Secretariat may, at its sole discretion, issue partial refunds. Such refunds will only be calculated after deducting all administrative, logistical, and marketing costs already incurred.

4. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

• Payment Gateway: All payments are exclusively processed in real-time through our official payment provider, Zoho Payments (Zoho Pay), via an embedded widget on the Portal. No cash, bank transfer, or manual payment modes are accepted. Any limited refunds permissible under this policy (e.g., Section 3) will only be credited back to the original source account via Zoho Pay, subject to their processing timelines.

• Payment Confirmation: Payments are confirmed automatically upon successful processing by Zoho Pay. A confirmation email will be dispatched upon payment verification. Delegates are advised to retain their Zoho Payment ID for reference.

• Disputes: Any chargebacks, payment disputes, or stop-payment requests raised fraudulently or in violation of this policy via Zoho Pay or the User's bank will result in the immediate blacklisting of the Delegate. Delhi MUN reserves the right to initiate civil or criminal legal action in the courts of New Delhi to recover the owed amount along with substantial administrative penalty fees and legal costs.

5. Policy Updates and Amendments

• Right to Amend: The Delhi MUN Secretariat reserves the unconditional right to update, modify, or amend this Refund Policy at any time to reflect changing operational, legal, or financial requirements, without prior individual notice.

• Agreement to Future Updates: By registering for the conference, the Delegate (and their legally binding parent/guardian) explicitly agrees to be bound by the most current version of this policy. It is the Delegate's responsibility to periodically review this document on our website/portal. Continued participation or failure to withdraw immediately upon an update constitutes absolute acceptance of all subsequent modifications.
